Built in 2009 from Ed Newman plans. Wingspan 112” weight about 21 lbs. Laser 200V-twin four-stroke engine, electric brakes, highly detailed cockpit and interior, functional landing gear, covered with Super Coverite, latex painted, full rib stitching and riveting, includes full documentation package beautifully bound along with extensive research data. Modeled after an aircraft assigned to the elite JG54 “green hearts” squadron in dark green splinter pattern camouflage. This model has been built to qualify at master scale competitions at any level. The model has not been flown but is complete and ready to fly. The engine has been bench broken in. Much attention was given to light construction in order that the airplane will perform as close as possible to the fullsize. This is a real crowd pleaser at shows and should be a spectacular flyer. This model is highly detailed throughout, including scale aileron linkages, detailed cockpit, scale Daimler engine, full cockpit detailing, scale rigging, custom spoked wheels, spade brake etc. The covering is super Coverite c/w full rib stitching and doped natural linen finish. This model has been built to qualify at master scale competitions at any level. A complete documentation package properly bound is included along with extensive research data. Special attention to lightweight construction and ease of assembly was considered. The airplane has flown only once very successfully. It is a real crowd pleaser at shows.
