Michell Airpark Status

Airpark Hours of Operation

....Unless posted otherwise flying shall not commence before 10 AM. Michell Airpark is open 7 days a week from 10 AM to Dusk.

Respect the Neighbours

....Flying when field workers are working in fields adjacent to Michell Airpark is strictly prohibited. Flyers are encouraged to use spotters to let them know when workers enter the adjacent fields and land at once. The only exception to this rule are small aircraft (namely electric foamy planes) are permitted to fly directly above the runway. VRCS Members have been very cognative of these regulations and are encouraged to keep up the good work. A little respect goes a long way to establishing and maintianing a freindly relationship with Michell Airpark neighbours.

Revised Fly Zone

....It has come to our attention that Paul Mulholm of Danica Nurseries is utilizing his East field, directly to the South of Michell field. Paul reiterated that no aircraft fly over the cleared portion of his land but that we can make our approaches and take offs over the treed portion of his land (but no aerobatics over the property). He agreed this approach will not interfere with their family activity on their property.

....Therefore, in keeping with the above agreement, the longstanding "No-Fly Zone" over Danica's cleared land will now be strictly enforced. Members taking off and landing will do so without encroaching on the above mentioned area of Danica's property. This will require landing approaches to be in-line with the flight box the pattern fliers use. Takeoffs will be as per usual with an immediate turn to the east upon breaking ground. Flying outside of this box will not be tolerated.

Please have a safety committee member brief you on this layout prior to flying.
