VRCMS operates three flying sites
Michell Airpark
Michell Airpark is open 7 days a week from 10 AM to 9 PM or dusk, to members of VRCMS and their guests when accompanied by the member.
No night flying is permitted at Michell Airpark.
Michell Airpark is in Class C Controlled Airspace therefore an Advanced RPAS certification is required and MAAC Membership.
Michel Airpark has two SOC(s) (Site Operating Certificate).
MAAC has certified the Airpark with a valid SOC permitting small RPAS (250 gram to 25kg AUW) to fly at our field. CAR Part IX regulations apply for pilots flying at Michell Airpark.
MAAC has certified the Airpark with a valid SOC permitting micro RPAS ( sub 250 gram AUW).
Micro RPAS can be operated with a Basic RPAS License and do not require TC registration.

Float Fly - Cowichan Lake
During the flying season we fly our float planes on Cowichan Lake.

Indoor Flying
14 sessions starting Jan 7th and running to April 7th inclusive.
A group of our club members are meeting every Sunday (Oct. – Apr.) at the Tsawout First Nation's gymnasium from 1PM to 4PM for indoor flying.

These indoor flying sessions are available to non-VRCMS members, however a MAAC membership is required. A MAAC membership can be obtained here: https://www.maac.ca/en/fly_with_us.php.
Cost for all sessions is $200 or $20 drop-in fee each.
